Café Svenskt Tenn
Quality, longevity and sustainability are guiding principles that that run throughout every part of Svenskt Tenn’s business – from the craftsmanship behind the objects in the assortment to the choice of ingredients in the café. The food is prepared using locally sourced and organic ingredients, and the menu follows the seasons to make the most of what winter, spring, summer and autumn have to offer.
A seasonal menu
Café Svenskt Tenn presents a menu centered around smörrebröd. Inspired by the Nordic dining tradition, classic flavours are combined with a contemporary and personal approach to food.
The menu features familiar flavours such as prawns and beef tartare, alongside more experimental vegetarian variations that change with the seasons. It is designed to be enjoyed individually or as a complete dining experience – accompanied by soup, beer or wine, schnapps, and something sweet to finish.
Café Svenskt Tenn also offers a curated selection of beverages, from wine by the glass, beer and schnapps to Petri’s kombucha, coffee and tea.
Svenskt Tenn’s founder, Estrid Ericson, was a great tea lover who is said to have drunk five cups of tea every day: two and a half in the morning and two and a half at lunch. Café Svenskt Tenn offers therefore a wide range of teas, with everything from delicate, grassy Japanese green teas, Oolong foraged from Thailand, and Indian Darjeeling, to Svenskt Tenn’s own flavoured blend of Chinese Keemun/Yunnan.
Café Svenskt Tenn is run together with Petter Nilsson, founder and owner of the Stockholm restaurant, Petri.
