Egg Holder Hen Tulpaner
Textile Tulpaner
Iconic and cherished for generations, Tulpaner is one of Josef Frank’s most classic floral patterns. The slender petals are outlined with fine contours in contrasting colours, giving the flowers depth and vitality.

About the print
Over the course of his lifetime, Josef Frank designed around 160 patterns, creating his own distinctive flora in which daisies, roses, tulips, violets and forget-me-nots appear time and again. Tulpaner is characterised by the flowers’ distinct contours and its stylised composition.

The printing of the Tulpaner fabric
Like all of Josef Frank’s patterns, the Tulpaner textile is screen-printed – a time-consuming and artisanal technique.
