Clarity of space was a central principle in Josef Frank’s interior philosophy. To be experienced as harmonious, Frank believed that a room must be clearly perceptible, with the boundary between floor and wall remaining visible. For this reason, he designed his cabinets to stand on high legs.
The exhibition “Standing Tall” presents six cabinets by Josef Frank, whose iconic status rests as much on form as on execution. Each piece unites high-quality materials with exceptional craftsmanship, passed down through generations. It is in the details that Frank’s cabinets acquire their distinctive presence—where each object balances functional clarity with sculptural strength.
